Dear Midland students and families,
While this school year has not been what anyone would wish for, I hope each of you can find gratitude and something you are thankful for this holiday season.
I know I am personally grateful for the support of my family, our teachers’ ability to adapt to incredibly difficult circumstances, our parents who have changed their schedules, our custodiall staff for relentless cleaning efforts, our support staff for keeping everything held together, our cafeteria workers for preparing meals, and our students who have demonstrated tremendous patience and understanding over these last months.
We would like to remind everyone that our plan is to continue in-person instruction as long as it can be done in a safe and productive manner. With that said, we will pursue monitoring the following criteria each day in order to make the best possible judgment. As we stated prior in the year, situations can change rapidly, so please be patient as information may change at any time.
As a school district, we look at the current local Covid-19 metrics and seek guidance from our local health department.
Our Thanksgiving break will begin on November 25th. Students will return on November 30th.
It’s been a challenging year, but we will continue to get through this together. Please be safe this holiday season and have a Happy Thanksgiving.
