Mrs. Schaer makes an effort to involve students in the community and the School District. She will often take her students to work with the other grade levels within the district. Mrs. Schaer's students annually make a trip to the Elementary School and Middle School to bake bread with the younger students. Additionally, she invites community members to participate in the "Generation Baking Project." During the Generation Baking Project, students will invite an adult, of their choice, to bake something together for the class to enjoy.
