I earned my undergraduate degree, Teaching History, at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Shortly after graduating, I began teaching Middle School Social Studies and U.S. History for the North Greene School District. I then taught World History, U.S. History, Economics, Government, and Advanced Government (a dual credit class through Lewis & Clark Community College) for the Southwestern School District. While teaching at Southwestern, I earned a Masters Degree in General Administration. In 2004, I was hired as the Principal of Southwestern High School. In 2009 I was hired by the Fairfield Public School District to be Principal of Center Street School, a fourth through eighth grade building. While in the Fairfield District I earned my second Masters Degree, Specialist in Education, which certified me to be a Superintendent. On May 16, 2016, the Midland Community Unit School District School Board graciously hired me as the next Superintendent.
I am happily married to April, a teacher in the Bethalto School District. I have two children. Keith is serving in the U.S. Army, currently stationed in Kansas. My daughter Kaitlynn is a sophomore in high school. She has played a number of sports, but is now concentrating on softball.
