I'm Joe Mintus, and I'm proud to serve as the Principal of Midland Elementary School in Lacon, Illinois.
I have spent over two decades in education, and it continues to be one of the greatest joys and privileges of my life. I have been a physical education teacher, a coach, and now a principal. In every role, my focus has remained the same: building strong relationships, helping kids succeed, and supporting the people who help them grow.
Outside of school, I have been married to my wife, Patti, for 21 years. We have three amazing kids—Sam (20), Maggie (18), and Lucy (15). I am a die-hard Cubs fan and enjoy reading, exercising, traveling, and camping.
